This unusual SAD Light doubles as a designer table lamp and effective SAD therapy light.

Designed by the Finnish designer Eero Aarnio, the figurative form of three cubes of different sizes. When used as bright light therapy lamp KUBO provides a 10,000 lux treatment at 25 cm or 2 500 lux at 46 cm.

According to studies bright light therapy has proven to increase vitality and energy levels during the wintertime. The designer lamp looks good on the floor or table and can be easily used for reading. Clear geometric lines and playful design of Kubo create enjoyable atmosphere and softly dispersed light.

This innovative lamp creation has two functions: a decorative table lamp and a bright light therapy lamp. Its visual form language combines three different-sized cubes to create a coherent whole. The lamp allows for flexible placement in rooms and sets a distinctive, geometric accent. When using the transparent light body for therapeutic purposes, the lamp emits a vitality-enhancing bright light of 10,000 lux.

INNOSOL® bright light therapy lamps are certified by Det Norske Veritas DNV0434 as Class 2A Medical Devices. They are approved by the Electronic Inspectorate of Finland SGS FIMKO. All models are equipped with electronic ballast 230V / 50Hz and the light of the fluorescent tubes is pure white (4000 K). The light is flicker free and comfortable to the eyes. KUBO bright light device - effective, safe and multifunctional

Bright light therapy requires a light intensity from 2,500 lux, but all the INNOSOL bright light therapy lamps that emit at least 10 000 luxes of light. Not just any lamp that produces bright and intensive light, such as a halogen lamp, is suitable for bright light therapy. The INNOSOL bright light devices meet all the requirements set on high quality therapy. The light does not flicker and it is evenly distributed. The opaque lamp shade filters the UV emissions.

The INNOSOL bright light devices are of extremely high quality. They have been developed and tested in Finland where both seasonal changes and variations in the amount of daylight are manifest and intense. Taking your KUBO SAD Light Box Treament

Have the lightbox about an arms distance away and slightly to one side, or under your computer screen.

The light needs to go into the eye, so do not wear goggles or tinted glasses. Plain glasses or contact lenses are fine. No dozing or sleeping - you must be awake with eyes open to take the treatment.

Do not look at the light all the time, just glance at it every now and then. You can carry on with your normal routine, reading and writing, have breakfast beside it or use when you are using your computer.

It is better to take your S.A.D. light treatment as early as possible during the day, but do not use the lightbox within 4 hours of bedtime as this may disturb your sleep.

Claiming Exemption is easy

When placing an order you will have the option of choosing VAT exemption or not. 

If you choose the VAT exempt option we will send you a form which will need to be completed and returned with 7 days otherwise you will be charged VAT at the appropriate rate. 

Exemption is activated by signing and returning the form we have sent you. 
No other proof is required, but fraudulent claims could be checked and could constitute an offence. This form can be signed by the person themselves, a guardian, a carer, a parent or a representative.

An example of a fraudulent claim might be for example if a lightbox was purchased as a colour lamp for art work- this would not be a zero-rated supply.
