What is Immuno-AIDTM?
Immuno-AIDTM is an encapsulated powder comprised of Bovine Colostrum and Beta Glucan. The amounts of Colostrum and Beta Glucan in the blend have been formulated to help provide a robust, balanced immune system.
Immuno-AIDTM is presented in encapsulated form at 230mg nett capsule weight.
The formulation is Colostrum 84.7%, Beta glucan 12.7%, Capsulating aids 2.6% Providing 50 mg IgG and 30 mg Beta glucan per capsule.
The recommended daily consumption is 4 capsules.
Immuno-AidTM also contains
Immunoglobulins: "Immunoglobulin from bovine colostrum effectively reduces and prevents viral and bacterial infections in immune deficient subjects: bone marrow recipients, premature babies, AIDS patients, etc. " New England Journal of Medicine
Lactoferrin: An iron-binding protein that is antibacterial (iron is unavailable to iron-dependent bacteria), antiviral (decreases viral attachment to cells) and antiinflammatory (decreases inflammatory response to bacterial endotoxin)
Lactoferrin is also responsible for the active transport of iron across the intestinal barrier.
PrP (Proline Rich PolyPeptides): Regulates the thymus gland Immune Modulator Studies have shown that PrPs have anti-inflammatory actions as well. It helps to activate an underactive immune system, assisting in acting against bacteria and viruses. PrP is a potent stimulator of NK cell activity, has been shown in studies to increase NK cytotoxicity by up to 400%, increased the cytotoxic activity of NK cells in patients with late-stage cancer.
PrP has the ability to calm an overactive immune system, thus has ability to reduce allergies and autoimmune diseases such as MS, rheumatoid arthritis and lupus.
Immuno-AidTM also contains
Bovine Colostrum: Colostrum is the first milk that a cow produces after giving birth to a calf. Unlike human babies, newborn calves have no naturally produced immune factors in their blood. Colostrum contains the important components that the baby calf needs to establish its immune system, support cell division and tissue repair. Within 24 hours of birth a calves' ability to absorb immunoglobulins through the intestinal wall drops from 100% to about zero.
Immune Factors:
The immune factors in colostrum are Immunoglobulins, Lactoferrin and Proline
Rich Polypeptides which fight:
Viruses, Bacteria, Yeast, Fungi, Allergens and Toxins.
Growth Factors:
Some of the growth factors naturally present, specifically PDGF and Interleukins, are involved in the inflammatory phases of immune response. Others are essential for wound healing processes, bone development and structural maintenance.
